December 2, 2017

This Sunday we look at what the Bible says about the end of the world. Wow!

Scheduled for Saturday, December 9 at 7:00! We will begin with refreshments, and enjoy a song celebration with Greg & Rebecca Sparks at 7:30.

Please sign up for the festivities and indicate what you can bring and whether or not you can assist with set-up beforehand and/or cleaning up afterward.

Also, if you don the ugliest sweater you can find in your wardrobe, you may be a contender to win the Ugly Sweater Contest. Please be sure to sign up this coming Sunday at the refreshments table!

As you know, each December we collect CHRISTMAS GIFTS FOR NEEDY FAMILIES in our community. If you would like to participate, please take a slip of paper from the Christmas box on the refreshments table. The gifts can be dropped off at the church on December 9th, 10th and 17th.

If you have any questions, see Lois.

November 19th marked the completion of this 8-week Bible study, led by Brian & Tammy McLaughlin. This class studied what God's Word teaches us about things such as caring for one another, honoring one another, handling and working out struggles with sin, and making room for the use of our spiritual gifts in our ministries.

If you would like to hear more (including how to sign up for upcoming classes in 2018!) you can chat with those who attended the class: Anna Rolando, Josephine Hawlik, Beverley Paris, the Abrams, Solanka's, Akin's, Tintle's, or McLaughlin's.

Our annual BETHEL RANCH CHRISTMAS PARTY is coming up!

Please join us on Sunday, December 17 at 7:00PM as we bring Christmas cheer and God's Word to the needy men at the Bethel Ranch, located at 1005 Union Valley Road here in West Milford. We meet with them in the chapel and sing Christmas carols and Keith shares a brief sermon. We then join the men in the dining room for snacks and to present them with gifts. A special offering will be taken this coming Sunday morning and the funds will be used to purchase gifts for the men. Please consider bringing cookies or other finger foods to this event.

If you have questions, please see Keith Hague or Mark Tintle.

Operation Christmas Child report from Carla: “We had many hands to assist us in loading the Christmas shoe boxes into our car for the next leg of their journey. When Jim and I unloaded them at the drop-off center, the official count was 145 boxes. Later that day, 2 members of LWC dropped off 4 more boxes bringing our total to 149 -- that's 21 more shoe boxes than last year!

Praise God for a congregation with a heart for ministry! May the Lord richly bless all of you who participated in this important ministry – your generosity will have eternal rewards!"

Needs for Transportation…

For some people, getting to church requires that someone offer them transportation.

Our SOS ministry currently needs drivers to offer rides to church on Sunday mornings.
